Held between February 7th and 11th in Frankfurt, Germany, the 2025 edition of the Ambiente fair brought together more than 4,500 exhibitors from around the world. A showcase for sustainability, creativity, design trends, exhibitions and awards, the Brazilian converted plastics market was represented by 17 companies, a group supported by Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the plastic converted products sector in the process of internationalization for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute).
The members that participated in the event at the Think Plastic Brazil collective stand, expanding and strengthening their presence in the international market, were: Alklin, Alumínio Oliveira, Dello, Di Solle Cutelaria, Indústria Bandeirante, Jaguar Plásticos, Lolly, Maxcril, Metaltru, Mor, MTA, São Bernardo and Termolar. Brinox, OU, Plasutil and Sanremo were also present in Germany, with their own stand and support from ApexBrasil and Think Plastic Brazil.
In the post-fair survey, completed by the participating companies themselves, 259 new contacts were established as a result of the event, with 370 meetings held. In eight agreements finalized to date, 890 thousand dollars have already been negotiated. For the next 12 months, another 80 deals are expected, with the expectation of raising more than US$ 5,675,000.00. The numbers express the satisfaction of the companies representing the sector with their participation: 94.12% want to return to a future edition and 82.35% of them declared themselves satisfied or very satisfied.
“The results from Germany reinforce the competitiveness of the Brazilian market on the international stage. We work every day to highlight these talents and the full potential of the converted plastics sector in Brazil. Our production is now in line with what the global market demands, with the needs of the modern consumer, precisely because we research and invest in this: in design, innovation, sustainability and compliance with laws that respect those who produce, those who consume and the environment”, summarizes Carlos Moreira, INP executive director and Think Plastic Brazil CPO.
In addition to the fair, companies also participated in activities to connect with major international players, such as the Creative Tour, a business mission with a series of lectures, guided visits to stores in the sector and a personalized tour. The biggest attractions of Ambiente were the opportunity for learning, networking and the opening of new markets, which also featured nine Color Trend 2025 showcases, displaying products in the color palette curated by architect Gabriela de Matos. The Think Plastic Brazil space provided access via QR code to the International Yearbook 2024, a digital catalog that brings together products and associated companies, so that visitors to the space could learn more about them.
