Think Plastic Brazil encourages the participation of Brazilian companies at the 2024 NPE Fair in Orlando

International Fair

After a prolonged gap of six years due to the global pandemic, the New Plastics Edition (NPE) 2024 Fair, held between May 6th and 10th in Orlando, Florida, stood out as one of the most relevant events on the global stage of the converted plastics industry. Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions that support the converted plastic products sector in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute), enabled the participation of more than 50 people representing Brazilian companies through the Prospective Mission.

Think Plastic Brazil negotiated exclusive benefits for Brazilian participants, including special rates for hotels and air tickets through a strategic partnership with a specialized tourism agency. In addition, participants enjoyed transportation between the hotel and the fair site, free credentials to access the exhibition and participation in keynote lectures and the International Business Lounge.

“The Brazilian presence in this edition was a unique opportunity for companies to stand out globally, consolidating strategic partnerships and sharing innovations that will shape the future of the converted plastics industry”, highlighted Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director & Think Plastic Brazil CPO.

Among the Brazilian participants, Videplast Embalagens Plásticas Flexíveis stood out by having one of its packaging innovations displayed at the Exxon stand. “The release of our film, produced for the first time outside Brazil, represents an important milestone for our company and for the national industry”, comments Domenico Macchia, director of Videplast. This exhibition highlighted the innovative capacity of Brazilian companies, strengthening international commercial ties.

With more than 50,000 visitors from 133 countries, the fair served as an important meeting point for companies seeking innovation, sustainability and strategic partnerships. The Orange County Convention Center, host of the event, became an epicenter of activity, housing more than 2 thousand exhibiting companies that presented everything from raw materials to advanced plastic conversion solutions.

Elisangela Melo, commercial director of Sales For Life, highlighted: “During the visit days, I attended lectures and visited the machinery and raw materials pavilion. I could clearly see the fair’s focus on efficiency, good organization, and a business-oriented culture. In my view, the machinery sector showcased technological innovations that promote resource efficiency, increased productivity, and recycling. Regarding raw materials, they presented metallized solutions with intense shine effects and striking particle effects, aimed at greater recyclability, alongside a continued focus on materials seeking biodegradability”.

Focusing on the development of new technologies, packaging functionality and aesthetics, and on responsible practices such as the use of recyclable and biodegradable materials, Think Plastic Brazil aims to position Brazilian converted plastics companies as global leaders.
