Bringing together hundreds of professionals and leaders from the converted plastics industry at the Novotel Center Norte in São Paulo, with a free program open to the public, the IV World Plastic Connection Summit® took place this Tuesday, April 8, providing a true immersion in the main trends that are reshaping the sector in Brazil and worldwide. One of the highlights of the event was the lecture by economist Ricardo Amorim, who reflected on the future of business driven by artificial intelligence.
Organized by Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the plastic-converted products sector in the process of internationalization for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastics Institute), the IV World Plastic Connection Summit® ended the day of lectures with the economist. Amorim’s speech caught everyone’s attention, with the theme “Artificial Intelligence and other paradigm shifts that will transform your converted plastics business”.
The dynamic presentation filled the auditorium as it highlighted the role of technologies such as generative AI, advanced automation and data analysis, which are directly impacting production, consumption and management models in the industry, presenting artificial intelligence as an opportunity for those who know how to use it strategically, leveraging companies towards the future of the sector.
“For the past three years, Brazil has been the country that generates the most jobs in the world. Our unemployment rate has fallen like no other G20 country. Artificial intelligence, used efficiently, can reduce costs in each interaction, with shorter response times and greater customer satisfaction,” the economist emphasized.
After the lecture, the program ended with a celebratory cocktail and the presentation of the International Award 2025, which honored the main highlights of the Brazilian converted plastics sector. The audience was also able to enjoy the exclusive fragrance “From Brazil to Brazil”, created in partnership with Vollmens, adding a sensorial experience to Color Trend® 2026 and the IV World Plastic Connection Summit.
With simultaneous translation into English and Spanish and hybrid transmission, the event reaffirms the strength of Think Plastic Brazil as a catalyst for trends and opportunities for the sector.
