The event, held last Friday (21), brought together big names in the sector, consolidating itself as an important milestone for the Brazilian converted plastics industry.

One of the projects in the World Plastic Connection Summit ecosystem, Color Trend is an international guide to color trends with focus and research from a Brazilian perspective, dedicated to the converted plastics industry. Produced in three languages, the study offers a complete guide that guides the sector in the year following its publication. In this edition, award-winning architect Gabriela de Matos signed the study, bringing an innovative and culturally rich vision.

Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director & Think Plastic Brazil CPO, highlighted the importance of the event and the work of Gabriela de Matos. “The launch of Color Trend 2025 is a legacy that is being left by Gabriela de Matos, who represents female strength, diversity, which enriches our country so much. Color Trend is for visionary companies that are beginning to understand that color, with the stories of a culturally rich country, is something we want to show the world.”

The event had several visitors and partners, providing a space for networking and exchanging knowledge. José Ricardo Roriz Coelho, president of the Council of the Brazilian Plastic Institute (INP), president of the Council of the Brazilian Plastics Industry Association (ABIPLAST) and president of the Council of the Plastic Material Industry Union (SINDIPLAST), highlighted the growth of the event and its importance for the Brazilian plastics sector, emphasizing that the event was consolidated as a significant milestone. He also highlighted the evolution of the format, condensing the content into a single day to meet the demands of the sector, and expressed his satisfaction with the continuity of Color Trend, which reaches its fourth edition this year, highlighting the appreciation of creators and the Brazilian image.

With the successful launch of Color Trend 2025, attention now turns to the IV World Plastic Connection Summit, which will be held between April 8 and 10, 2025. He highlighted that the themes of design, innovation and sustainability must evolve together to drive a more robust circular economy, outlining a crucial role for Brazil as a protagonist in this scenario. Sanitá also highlighted the clear contribution of Think Plastic in this journey towards Brazilian leadership.

During the pre-launch, commitments made in the previous edition were reaffirmed, as highlighted by Sanitá. He mentioned the implementation of commitments to make the Brazilian manufacturing sector a reference in innovation, design and sustainability, expand presence in international events, diversify markets to include Africa and the Middle East, introduce a new expert plus category, and expand activities in the areas toys and childcare.
