The fourth edition of the World Plastic Connection Summit®, the main international event in the Brazilian converted plastics industry, whose topic is “Brazilian converted plastic: coloring the world with design, innovation, and sustainability”, will take place on April 8, at the Novotel Center Norte, in São Paulo, held by Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the converted plastic product industry in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (the Brazilian Plastic Institute).
To date, South Africa, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Chile, Denmark, Slovakia, Ireland, Jamaica, and Portugal are some of the embassies and consulates that have announced the IV World Plastic Connection Summit® on their social media. Entities, unions, companies, and the specialized press are also joining efforts in the dissemination. The result of these collaborative actions happens through the high number of registrations in countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Ghana, Mexico, and the United States, where the dissemination happens through other channels and partners, in addition to embassies.
In 2023, the last edition registered the presence of professionals from more than 101 countries. To date, 124 different countries have registered in the event. The tradition of highlighting innovations and trends and the relevant schedule, typical of the event, which offers 8 activities, reinforces its global impact. Free registration is available for in-person and online attendance, and the event has simultaneous interpretation into Spanish and English.
In 2025, the Summit will honor the leaders investing in the internationalization process, with 8 lectures, round-tables, and releases the International Yearbook 2025, the main catalog of Brazilian companies in the sector, and Color Trend® 2026, curated by Marcelo Rosenbaum. The color guide brings innovations such as see color, an accessible color feature for people with visual impairment. Micaela Góes, from the Santa Ajuda TV show, at GNT, will be the host of the event. The lectures will be held by leading figures, such as Ricardo Amorim, TopVoice economist at LinkedIn, and Angela Hirata, foreign trade director, responsible for the success story of Havaianas’ internationalization.
