With the theme “Creating a sustainable world,” LatinPack Chile 2022 has chosen Brazil as a guest country, largely thanks to the country’s increasing investments in topics such as the Circular Economy, Research & Development, and actions that defend the environment. In this historic edition, Think Plastic Brazil will be attending the event with a record participation (27 companies): Antilhas Embalagens Flexíveis; Bral-Max; Brasplast Embalajes; Copobras; Cristal Embalagens; Cristal Master; Cromex; Embalajes Plaszom; Embaquim; Packing Group; Fibrasa; GDM Plásticos; Gerresheimer; Globoplast; Hiperpack Desechables; Inplasul Embalagens; Jaguar Plásticos; Mega Embalagens; Parnaplast; Plásticos Novel; Polo Films Industria e Comércio S/A; Rafitec Propex; Sommaplast; Splack; Valgroup; Valgroup (which will be present with two companies of the group); and Zaraplast.
Chile is the fourth main destination for exports of Brazilian converted plastics, having received almost 23,000 metric tons of the product in 2020, equivalent to almost $90 million (8.2% of the total) – Source: Comexstat / Ministry of Economy, Profile 2020, ABIPLAST.
“It is an honor to be the guest country of the edition that is precisely addressing sustainability, one of the pillars, along with high design, color trends, and research and development to foster the actions of Think Plastic Brazil. The theme, in fact, will be one of the directions of the World Plastic Connection Summit, an event that is entering its second edition on November 7-10, in São Paulo, and which will bring together the main players of the global converted plastics industry during five actions: International Seminar, Global Awards, Launch of the Yearbook 2022, Launch of Color Trend 2022, and the Image/Buyer Project,” said Carlos Moreira, Strategy and Project Planning Manager at Think Plastic Brazil.
“The attending companies will take to the event solutions ranging from inputs for the converted plastics industry – such as masterbatches – to specific packaging for the pharmaceutical industry, for pet food and food products. There will be a huge diversity of offers aimed at serving all buyers present at Latin Pack Chile,” said Cristina Sacramento, Market Development Specialist for Agribusiness and Packaging at Think Plastic Brazil.
Latin Pack Chile will be held from June 29 to June 1, and Brazil will be at address 65, at Espacio Riesco, in Santiago, Chile.
