The yearbook’s third edition, published in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, gathers information on the Brazilian processed plastic sector and the internationalization process, in addition to portfolio of products of companies that integrate the sectorial project. The main novelty is the layout and content organization, which were reformatted to highlight the companies and their portfolios.
Currently, 190 companies participate in Think Plastic Brazil project, 142 of them are exporting companies. From January to December 2022, the amount exported by the companies in the portfolio was US$ 449.13 million, 8.67% increase against the same period of the previous year. 140 tons were exported, 0.21% rise against the previous year.
The five main destinations of exports represented 70.62% of exports in 2022, against 66.79% in 2021. The main destinations of the associated companies’ exports in the period, in 2022, were: Argentina (25.10%), United States (16.18%), Chile (12.10%), Paraguay (8.90%) and Uruguay (8.34%).
As in the previous edition the 2023 International Yearbook will be published in digital format and limited circulation printed copies. “This initiative, like so many others that we have developed over these 20 years of portfolio, aims at strengthening brands and positioning of companies in the market”, explained Carlos Moreira.
The 2023 World Plastic Connection Summit counted on the following supporters: Valgroup (Highlight Plastic); Braskem (Master Plastic); Colorfix and Engeflex (Masterbatch Special Plastic); Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce; Abiplast and Abiquim (Institutional support); in addition to Plásticos em Revista, Plástico Virtual and All Pet Food Magazine (Media Partners).
